Mariam, I had mentioned some sources that I used for a paper on motherhood, in which I wrote about gays adopting. You are probably familiar with the HRC (Human Rights Campaign). I wanted to let you know they periodically put out publications, such as State of the Family, etc. http://www.hrc.org/
Also, Gale Reference Library/Databases has a LGBT database available to college students. In in can be referenced the Encyclopedia of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered History in America, edited by Marc Stein.
